Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia originates from an Australian tissue culture laboratory at Coffs Harbour. Its spreading stems become 10-18 cm wide. It is a beautiful plant with long, heart-shaped leaves and it is easy to propagate by splitting the rhizome into 2 or more sections. The leaves live for several years, so old plants in good condition last a long time. Like other Anubias it grows happily in low light and never touches by herbivorous fish.
Care requirements: Difficulty: Easy (per Tropica). Light demand: Low. CO2 demand: Low; grows well without added CO2. Growth rate: Slow. Placement: Midground to background, attached to rocks or driftwood. Height in tank: 10-18+ cm. Supplied as a plant in a 5 cm pot.
