A well-known favourite with shrimp fanciers, Christmas moss gets its name from the way its overhanging growing branches remind people of a fir tree. Its hardy nature makes it ideal for hiding installations or for decorating bare rocks and roots. The moss forms a dense mat that looks best tied to hardscape and trimmed regularly. It grows readily at modest light levels.
